In our third season we continued our innovative mission to present and create artistic experiences for humans. We say humans to underscore the point that our programs are meant to provide vibrant and intelligent artistic opportunities for people of ALL ages. This year’s experiences were intimate, international, and fearless.
Our 2016 International Family Series, PAPAYA at the Bride, offered shows with challenging content that might not typically be considered for young audiences. But PAPAYA created pathways for processing and responding to these subjects by choosing excellent, nuanced work from across the globe, creating context through curriculum guides and conversation with teachers and parents, and working intimately with our international performers and local artists in post-show experiences which allowed for in-depth dialogue and immersive art-making opportunities.
By offering excellence in theater artistry, a space for conversation, and careful contextualization, we share essential human experience across generations and national borders.
We ask you to support this essential work with a tax-deductible gift to PAPAYA. Your support helps us keep the momentum for presenting and producing work that is exploratory, sophisticated and imaginative. A gift in any amount is a vote for keeping work of this quality alive and in Philadelphia.
